setting up our pool

I am not sure why we decided to go ahead and set up our pool this year, but we did. Maybe because our nephews have asked Nathan several times about setting up the pool and we know how much they loved it. We didn't want to let them down. Nolan even wrote about the pool in his school journal. You would have thought we put an Olympic size pool in our backyard the way he described it. This pool is the biggest pain and we are not sure how they keeping selling them. If you do not have the ground leveled precisely, the pool will collapse. Last year, Nathan dug up our grass with a shovel (with the help of both of our dads) to get the ground even. After lots of adjusting and filling up the pool about four times, we finally got it right. If you are considering buying a pool for your yard, take a good look at this pool and make sure you do NOT buy one that looks like this!
This stupid pool turned out to be A LOT of fun last year so we just had to put it up again. We haven't finished setting up yet, but it has already been a big hit with Weston. We have filled it halfway with water and it hasn't flopped yet. Everyone cross your fingers!

Here are some photos of last year.
The pool looks like a big blob!

I can't believe how much Weston has grown over the last year. Pools are a big pain, I agree, but so much fun for kids. Atleast it will cool you off. Not looking forward to the next 7 or 8 months of heat:(
