After the Kindermusik party, Weston had to go to his 2 year checkup-yuck! His appointment time was about an hour past his normal nap time. He didn't have a nap, so he was a little on the obnoxious side in the waiting room. He crawled under all of the chairs and while we waited to see the doctor. When the nurse called his name, I had pull him from under a chair -he did not come out willingly. Oh, well! Luckily, he calmed down once we were in the exam room. He didn't even cry when they pricked his finger so they could check his hemoglobin. I think the worst part for him was when the doctor tried to look in his mouth and ears-he put up a fight. We ended the visit with one shot (he barely cried) and his first trip to the toy room. They get to pick a toy when they turn 2. He chose a police car and left the office a happy camper.
They told me that he weighed 32 lbs this time (90%). I am more than positive that he doesn't weigh 32 lbs yet, but I didn't argue with them. He was wiggling so much on the scales trying to get off that I didn't want them to try again. He went to the doctor a month ago and he weighed 29 pounds with his shoes on.
They said he was 34 3/4 inches tall (60%) . I am not sure if that is accurate either. At that point, he pulling the nurse's stethoscope off of her neck!
The good news- no more shots until he starts school!
