My parents are coming to stay with us for a couple of nights. We have relatives from Oregon coming to visit for the Masters and they will be staying at my parents' house. My parents are going to use our guest bedroom so we wanted everything to be nice and clean for them. Even Weston tried to help with the cleaning. He got out his dog vacuum cleaner and vacuumed the den. He did this until he decided he wanted to get into the fireplace AGAIN!

Golfing
Weston has discovered that he likes to golf. He will spend a good 15 or 20 minutes swinging at a golf ball. Here are some photos of him with his golf club. Nana bought him some plastic golf clubs that are more his size but he prefers the real club.

Dance Moves
I was finally able to catch Weston's dance moves on video. Papa had to sing to get him to dance. Papa, I hope this video doesn't embarrass you! We think he looks just like his cousins in Hawaii (or Elvis) when he dances.

A Trip To The Mall
Weston was in desperate need of summer shoes so we made a trip to the mall. We let him play on the playground first, and then we started our hunt for shoes. We found a pair of camouflage Crocs (a fake pair) for under $10 that we thought would be perfect for him to wear outside. I have had to wash his other shoes almost every day because he gets them dirty and wet. These shoes were perfect! Nathan found a pair of brown leather flip-flops and he insisted on buying them for Weston. I just knew that Weston would not be happy about wearing them! Dad bought them and let Weston wear them out of the store just to prove that he would wear them. Well, to my surprise he did not seem to mind them one bit! It was so funny to see him wearing flip-flops at 18 months.

Letters and Sidewalk Chalk
The Easter Bunny brought Weston some sidewalk chalk for Easter so we've been putting it to good use. It has been keeping Weston entertained while I have been trying to work on spring gardening. I write down a bunch of letters and he tries to name them while I write. When I am finished he takes the chalk and tries to make marks all over the letters.

Kindermusik
Every Wednesday Weston and I go to a Kindermusik class together. It is a 45 minute class that involves singing, dancing, and instruments. Weston hasn't been too interested in the music part lately. He usually follows his teacher around the entire time asking her to get balls down from the top shelf .
Well, we have missed the last three Wednesday classes due to Weston's unpredictable nap schedule. We have been trying to transition into taking just one nap a day but it has been difficult. He has either fallen asleep on the way to kindermusik or is so grouchy I wouldn't dare take him. I decided to ask if I could join the class on Sunday at 4:00 until we get the nap straightened out. I took Weston to the Sunday class and he seemed excited to see his teacher again. He looked a little confused by all the new faces but he fit right in! This class was all boys so I wasn't as worried about Weston being too rough. Our Wednesday class is mostly girls under the age of one. And yes, he did ask her to get the balls for him the entire class. As you can see in the photos she got the balls down for him!
