Fun day with Emma and Kaitlyn

After bumping into Emma and Kaitlyn at Lights of the South in December, Gina and I decided that we should really get the kids together again. They haven't played with each other since summer, so they have missed each other. I think we have all been busy with school schedules and the holidays! Weston was really excited to see Emma; he spent most of the morning trying to build her something (I think it was a boat) with his Legos. He said he wanted to surprise her! We met at Chik-Fil-A, thinking that we were going to be there for Mommy and Me craft day, but they had changed it to Thursdays! Luckily, the kids didn't know the difference. They still had a great time playing together and eating lunch. After, we went to Target and let the kids do their favorite thing... explore the toy isles!!!!

Weston has another cold, so his poor skin is red and irritated!

CHEESE!!!!

Wyatt was able to climb the stairs and go down the slide. I was worried that he was going to stay up there forever and I would have to go after him, but he finally made it down the slide.

For someone who...

waited until he was 14 months to begin walking, he sure is making up for it now!!!

He pushed a chair to the sink the other day and climbed inside.

He soaked himself right before we were about to meet daddy for lunch. He was repeating, "hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot...."

He used the chair to climb onto his high chair.

Helping himself to a pencil. He was saying "Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeese" for the camera.
Grabbing a butter knife!!

Ice Day!

On day 2 of our snow days, we had a nice sheet of ice covering our yard, which was perfect for sledding. Nathan pulled out a few sheets of vinyl roofing material that he used to make a dog house a long time ago, and we used that for a sled. Worked great! Nolan and Brandon came over that morning for some fun on ice. Later, we all took another walk in the woods. Great times!

Watch out for the tree!
Crash!

Weston and Brandon walking in the woods. Brandon is never caught without his Indiana Jones hat.

The boys enjoyed shaking the ice from the branches when we walked under the trees.

Nathan had to attend a conference call for work, so he had to turn around halfway through our walk. Wyatt went with him so he could take a nap.

Snow Day!

Monday we woke up to snow! We actually had more ice than snow, but the boys were still excited! It wasn't the kind of snow that was good for making snowballs or snowmen, but it was still fun for the kids! I predicted that Wyatt wouldn't care much for the ice and cold, but he proved us all wrong. He really enjoyed it although slipping was a big problem for him. Even with all of his tumbles, he kept on wandering around in the snow with a smile on his face. We had a great day and hope it snows again this year. Next time we want the powdery snow!!!

We had a lovely view of snow while eating breakfast!

Walking in the snow for the first time.

Weston tried making a snow angel, but it was too icy.

The boys running ahead of the group. We can't believe how much Wyatt walked that day!

He also fell down-A LOT!!! At least he thought it was funny most of the time.
