Extreme Home Makeover

Back in early December, Nathan was lucky enough to help on the set of Extreme Home Makeover! I am not going to attempt to retell his story, but I am posting some of the photos from his big day. He was a volunteer on the day of the big reveal, so he was able to see the finished house and Ty Pennington!

He helped stain a fence.

Nathan and another guy arranged these plants. Unfortunately, it was really cold in Augusta that day, so they were all dead by morning.

He helped paint grass in the backyard to make putting greens.

Lights of the South!

We went to Lights of the South again this year. As always, we had a great time!

Weston was sick that evening, but he wanted to go anyway. This photo was taken before we even pulled out of the driveway of our home. He passed out!

I am too lazy to arrange the photos in order, so I am leaving them the way they loaded on blogger.

Guess who we ran into? Emma and Kaitlyn! They were really happy because they haven't seen each other in a long time!

Baking Christmas Goodies with Nolan and Brandon

Last weekend the boys baked Christmas treats together.

Just a kind reminder

We usually let Weston mix a spoonful of chocolate Ovaltine in his milk at breakfast time. This morning Weston kindly said, "Mommy, we only have a little bit of chocolate left and it is about to run out. Will you please write that down on your list? I told you to write it down a week ago."

It is so true!! He has been reminding me for over a week that he is running low on Ovaltine, and I HAVEN'T written it on my shopping list:)

Staying Four Forever!

I love the age of four! Weston is starting to turn into a little gentlemen. Don't get me wrong, he is still a rascal, but he has come a long way since he hit the terrible twos. At four, he has developed patience, understanding, and cooperation. At the same time he is still a bit mischievous, which keeps life interesting around our house. He has been in the best mood lately and is truly excited about Christmas. I have really enjoyed being at home with him lately and spending quality time together. So, when I was putting him down for bedtime the other evening, I said, "Can you just stay four and live with daddy and mommy forever?"

He said, "Mommy, that sounds like a good deal! If I stay four forever, I won't have to get any more shots!"

Eleven is far away, but he is still thinking about the next shots:)

Booster seat...not yet!

After watching Wyatt climb onto the kitchen table for a couple of weeks and then help himself to Weston's breakfast, we decided to buy a booster seat. I was thinking that Wyatt was climbing on the table because he just wanted to eat at the table like the rest of the family. So, I was hoping that sitting at the table with us, in a booster seat, would take the appeal out of sitting on TOP of the table. He has been driving us crazy!! For one, he is VERY clumsy and he falls ALL of the time. Secondly, we have keep him safe because of his food allergies. Well, we bought him a booster seat, and do you know what he did? He started using his feet and hands to push himself away from the table, and almost flipped backwards several times in the chair. So, now he is back in his high chair ... and still climbing the darn table!!!!

Eating his banana for breakfast

He is starting to get a personality and he is quite silly:) Look at that crazy face he made for the camera!

I know it is almost Christmas...

but we are still celebrating Halloween at our house. Every day Weston comes up with a new costume and surprises us. I am just posting a couple of his ideas, although I could start a separate blog about his costume designs.

I have no idea what this costume is, but I can tell you that he slept in this costume that evening:) Ouch!

What do you get when you cross Virgin Mary with a Ninja Turtle?
