Couldn't wait

We couldn't wait to get our Christmas tree this year! I know that it isn't even Thanksgiving yet, but we already bought our tree and decorated the house. I absolutely love the smell of Christmas trees. I wish I could have one in our house all year. Here are some photos of our Christmas decorating adventure.

Weston enjoyed "helping" by putting ornaments on the tree.

We were only able to get the tree halfway finished before Weston went to bed. Nathan and I had to finish it after he fell asleep.

We made homemade gingerbread cookies too.

I guess we don't need a crib...

Weston finally made it over the side of his crib today. I guess we don't need it anymore! His crib converts to a toddler bed, so we will changing it this weekend before he hurts himself. After putting him down for his nap, Weston came to me less than a minute later to tell me he wanted to watch t.v. For a brief second, I questioned whether or not I put him in his crib! I put him back in his crib and waited-nothing! I left his room and watched him through the crack of his door and then I saw it for myself! He climbed right over! I put him back and he climbed right out again. This happened over and over. When I finally told him firmly NOT to get out of his crib he went to sleep.
Nathan, here is our little boy escaping! BTW, Weston wasn't crying because I put him down for nap. He was still crying from a fall in the living room after one of his many escapes.

Here, he tells me he wants to "watch hippo" on television. He also says, "get out Weston."

Jack In the Box

We found Weston inside our coffee table a couple of days ago. We asked him what he was doing and he said, "jack in box!" He then preceded jump up and sing, "pop goes the weasel!" I don't know how he came up with that idea-we don't own a jack-in-the-box. He has played with one in the church nursery a couple of times, but that is it!

Having a Blast at a Birthday Party!

My best friend's son had a birthday party at Putt Putt Golf on Saturday. Weston was more than thrilled to go! Weston had the best time running around the place while I chased after him. I managed to take a video clip of him playing ski ball. You can see why no one else wanted to play next to him. The ball was everywhere!

Sleep Deprived

Weston at the Pharmacy

Our family has been suffering from sleep deprivation lately. Weston has been sick with a sinus infection and croup for almost five days now. He hasn't been able to sleep at night and hasn't had more than a couple of cat naps since Friday. I finally took him to the doctor yesterday and she wrote a prescription for an antibiotic, steroids, and some strong cough syrup. After the appointment, we went directly to Publix to get the prescriptions filled. Weston fell asleep in upright position while we were waiting. So cute!
Luckily, the cough syrup made him VERY sleepy, so Weston was able to sleep most of the night. Nathan and I stayed up watching the election.
Anyway, Weston seems much better after taking the antibiotic. Hopefully we will get another restful night!

Halloween!

We went to our church on Halloween night for pizza and trunk-or-treating. Our little boy was a firefighter this year. Weston had a great time this Halloween because he knew he was getting lots of candy. I thought he would be really scared but he was so interested in playing with kids eating lollipops that nothing bothered him.

The little witch is Weston's favorite friend at church. They were born exactly a week apart. Our due date was so close that the church threw us a baby shower together.

Our little firefighter came home with a fever and running nose. He stayed awake most of the night crying. He even asked me to take him outside to go "trick-or-trick" at 3:00 in the am. None of us managed to get any sleep last night. We haven't had any luck getting Weston to take a nap either. Right now Nathan is driving Weston around in his truck trying to get him to fall asleep.
